Wekfest LA 2019

Los Angeles is a special city for car shows. It is considered to most people in the US the mecca of custom car culture. Southern California, in my opinion, is where one should start if they want to truly understand the climate of custom car culture. It’s a metropolis of industry related businesses, rich with enthusiasts and builders alike who help shape the automotive community. It is also the second home for the Wekfest tour, originating up north in the San Francisco Bay. Wekfest is an automotive event designed for true enthusiasts by giving them a platform to showcase some of the best aftermarket builds in the nation. This year’s Wekfest LA was the second year returning to the Los Angeles Convention Center. For the previous seven years, they have held this particular event at The Queen Mary in Long Beach. The event is designed around highlighting car builders who rise above the standards, those who support authenticity and attention to detail. For spectators of the event, you experience a gathering where community takes center stage and wind up absorbing valuable content for your very own automotive journey. This year showcased over 400 Euro, domestic & import aftermarket and restoration type vehicles on display, with over 70+ awards for exhibiting competitions. Industry leading vendors lined the rows with over 50+ exhibiting related businesses. With Official Wekfest models Marie Madore and Victoria Nguyen on deck to take pictures with everyone, and official Wekfest host Constance Nunes walking around interacting with car owners and spectators, while a live DJ set spinning a plethora of 90’s hip hop jams kept the party going.
