Japanese Cruise-In & Tech Day

Petersen Automotive Museum (Los Angeles, CA)

Super Street Magazine teamed up with the Petersen Museum and held their annual tech day at the newly renovated Petersen Museum.  Usually tech day is held at Source Interlink Media’s headquarters in Anaheim, but this year there was a location change to the Miracle Mile in the Mid-Wilshire museum district.

Tech Day has always been a day where Formula Drift teams would attend and show off their rides and also conduct tech inspection before round one of the season started in Long Beach.  This annual event started in 2010.   But in the past few years, tech day drifted away from inspection and become more of a meet.  Last year’s highlight was Daigo Saito’s Achilles Radial GTR getting a new wrap installed.

This year attracted hundreds of Japanese cars from all makes and models.  There were both new as well as classic vehicles and a handful of euro as well.  What?  How did they get in there?  I guess if your euro was nicely modified or expensive, you got the entry to the rooftop for display.
